There’s been a whole load of exposure of Mistabishi recently with Printer Jam being played on Radio 1 and his debut album ‘Drop’ ready to… erm… drop. And rightly so… the ‘Bishi has been making ‘very different’ drum and bass for a while now and with Hospital Records taking a particular interest, his album is going to be something quite ‘different’ to the one style fits all albums that are out there at the moment. He can make stark raving bonkers tunes from office equipment and car bits AND tunes that will take you back 10-15 years into the depths of a grim club in the North. He’s re-writing what D&B is, was and its ever going to be by taking a fresh look at what can be produced with a breakbeat instead of using cookie cutter drums and pre-loaded sequences. Hurray!
Mistabishi – No Matter What – This will make you want to throw your hands in the air circa. 1991 stylee.
Mistabishi – Brunt – This will make your ears bleed.
AND he can explain the how we got into the credit crunch, brilliant!
SAFE! Saturday afternoon killas! (but damn – first link killed my poor mac though… straight to the swf!)
Ah ha! Fixed the rogue .swf link. Thanks for letting me know
Counting days until his full album release! haven’t been this excited about new tunes for a LONG time.
The Lights Really Bad is my personal favourite, love Wipe you Tears and well fuck, all the tunes actually.
